New conditioner recipe and “Saran wrap” DIY

So last week I tried my own Conditioner recipe which was 1 cup of water, 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar, and essential oils. I found it OK, but didn’t do as good of a job as mainstream conditioners.

This week I did the same recipe but added about 1 tsp of sweet almond oil.

It worked way better, except I poured it through my scalp which left my hair a little oily looking once dried. The rest of my hair though felt great. Next hair wash I am going to just try dunking the ends of my hair in the Mason jar and see how that works.

I also made my own “saran wrap” Yesterday. It was actually insanely easy. I just chopped a chunk of beeswax of of my block (which I bought un-packaged!) and I melted it on a low heat in a pot on the stove. Once it was melted I dunked my previously cut out squares of cotton fabric. I used tweezers to pull the fabric out and let the excess drip until it was dry. It only took about a minute to dry so that I could handle it with out sticking. Now i just have to test and see if it holds properly. I used pinking shears on the edge of my fabric but you could probably just cut regularly and not have any fraying since its pretty well coated.

This is the tutorial I used
