Homemade Body Wash

The other day I ran out of body wash. Now some might say the logical step is to get a locally made/package free bar soap, but unfortunately I do not have that option here, nor do I like bar soap.

I decided just to try using pure castille soap. It wasn’t the worst, but I found it quite drying. So I started the search for liquid homemade body washes!

The recipe I went with I just kind of collaborated a few ideas I had found (so I don’t have a source for you). Now with out further ado here are the instructions and recipe!

Ingredients: 1/4 cup Castille soap (any scent, I used Lavender)

1/2 cup Water

2 large droppers full of vitamin E oil (maybe 2-3 tbsp?)

1-2 tbsp olive oil (because that’s what I had, you can use any liquid oil)

2 tbsp of honey( I melted it in the microwave because mine was the hard kind.)

And lastly essential oils (i used about 10 drops of lemongrass, and 5 of lavender)

Just mix everything into a bowl, stir and funnel or pour it into your container, I used a small soap container I already had, while I look for a nicer glass one. This makes almost 500ml of body wash.

There was virtually no waste in this recipe! minor exception is the plastic surrounding the cap on the glass bottle of Vitamin E oil.

I tried it out and it felt way better! When the time comes to refill it I might try using more oil, maybe almond or something. let me know what you guys think! (Shake before using)

Hope you enjoy!
